The Sustainability Convergence focuses on helping to align and define sustainability strategies across the social and environmental movements. Leading with a passion to reinvigorate collective creativity and help facilitate collaboration and the open sharing of knowledge and resources for sustainability.

To help harness the most recent momentum for change and to rejuvenate the sustainability movement at this critical time, the Sustainability Convergence will be staged in 2008 and engage a wide range of groups and individuals.

WHY HOLD A CONVERGENCE?
The Sustainability Convergence has emerged from a growing demand from local groups who are calling for a more urgent and collaborative response to the sustainability issues. Last years Convergence was the first last large gathering of this type locally in Victoria for over seven years.

HOW IS THE CONVERGENCE ORGANISED?
The Convergence is a joint project that involves a range of groups in the preparations each years The Sustainable Living Foundation provides the basic platform of the event and works with a range of groups to co-host the activities.

WHO COMES TO THE CONVERGENCE?
A range of individuals from cross movements and sectors attend the Convergence. The Convergence draws on a depth of experience knowledge and passion, as many individuals actively working for sustainability join the collaboration.

2007 CONVERGENCE - DEALING WITH THE GLOBAL EMERGENCY
Perhaps among those who have held the worst fears and made the most dire predictions about the global ecological and social crisis there may be many who are feeling an uneasy sense of validation as the most analysis of the sustainability of our planet increasingly continues to be very bleak. As the global reports from a wide range of sources continue to highlight the extent of the issues the Convergence asked is this a global emergency we are facing?
